Overview
DevToolStack provides free, browser-based developer tools at devtoolstack.io. All tools process data entirely within your browser — nothing you type is sent to our servers.
Data We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect, store, or process any text you enter into our tools.
- We do not require account registration or login.
- We do not sell any data to third parties.
Analytics
We use one analytics tool to see which tools people find useful and where the site needs work. It never receives the text you enter into any tool.
- Google Analytics 4 — only runs if you accept it. If you do, it records page views, approximate city-level location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. Your IP address is used to derive that approximate location and is not retained by Google Analytics 4. Google processes this data on our behalf.
You can opt out of Google Analytics on every site you visit by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking cookies for this site in your browser settings. The tools themselves keep working either way.
Local Storage
We store your dark/light mode preference in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device.
Cookies
We ask before setting any analytics cookie. Until you accept, no Google script is downloaded and no analytics cookie is set — declining means nothing is sent to Google at all, not merely that the data is discarded.
If you accept, Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_*) so that a repeat visit can be told apart from a new one. They hold a randomly generated identifier — not your name, your email, or anything you typed into a tool — and expire after up to two years.
Your Choice
You can change your mind at any time — withdrawing is as easy as giving.
